One Bowl Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 2 very ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (2% or higher)
- 1 Tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 Tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 Tsp baking powder
- pinch salt
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Note
This banana quick bread is perfect anytime of day. Feel free to sub the chocolate chips for walnuts or raisins or just leave them out. It also freezes really well so you can have fresh banana bread anytime the craving strikes!
Directions
1. | Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and spray a loaf pan with cooking spray. |
2. | In a large bowl combine bananas, yogurt, and baking soda. Add egg, sugar, oil, and vanilla and whisk to combine. Add flours, baking powder and salt and mix until just combined. |
3. | Fold in chocolate chips and spoon batter into a loaf pan. |
4. | Bake for 45-55 minutes, until brown on top and cooked all the way through. Let cool for about 5 minutes before you remove it from the pan. |
5. | Spoon batter into a loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes, or until loaf is browned and springs back when touched. Let cool for about 5 minutes before you remove it from the pan. |
