By now, you should all be quinoa experts – right?
We’ve shown you how to cook it plain and simple, turn it into a delicious breakfast, and mix it with pomegranates, nuts, and a flavourful dressing for a delicious side dish. But sometimes, you want a little something extra special to jazz up that leftover tupperware of simple quinoa that’s been sitting in your fridge for the past couple days.
These quinoa patties are definitely something special – thanks largely due to the addition of sriracha. If you haven’t tasted or used sriracha before, I think it may actually change your life. Seriously – this hot sauce is not your typical extra spicy bottle of red sauce. It adds a depth of flavour that kicks these quinoa patties up a notch! And the addition of creamy goat cheese doesn’t hurt either.
After a quick mix together in one large bowl, the quinoa mixture is formed into patties and fried up until nice and golden brown. Store in your fridge, and your lunch time salad will have a new favourite salad topper!
And now that you’ve tried sriracha, you won’t be able to get enough of it! I mixed some into some Greek yogurt with a little lime juice for the perfect dipper for these quinoa patties.
Just like your extra brown rice for that tofu fried rice, you will definitely be doubling your next batch of simple quinoa to cook up a batch of patties for your upcoming week!
