Thanks to Turkey Farmers of Ontario, you can find locally raised Ontario turkey year round in the grocery store. Just like a chicken breast, you can slice it into those strips that are the perfect vehicle for dipping. And what better dip to go with these Crispy Sesame Turkey Strips than some creamy and rich peanut sauce.

Crispy Sesame Turkey Strips with Peanut Dipping Sauce

Ingredients
- 3/4 cups sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1lb boneless, skinless turkey breast (cut into 1.5 inch strips)
Peanut Dipping Sauce
- 1/3 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/3 cup plus 2 tbsp water
- 1.5 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sriracha (plus more to taste)
Directions
1. | Preheat oven to 375 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine panko bread crumbs, sesame seeds, canola oil, and salt on prepared baking sheet until whole mixture is lightly coated in oil. Spread mixture out into a shallow layer on baking sheet and bake for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown, stirring halfway through. |
2. | In a small shallow bowl, mix together soy sauce and sesame oil. |
3. | Add turkey pieces to soy mixture and toss to coat. Transfer turkey piece by piece to panko/sesame baking sheet. Cover each piece generally with crumbs, pat gently and flip to repeat. Transfer coated pieces to a second lined baking sheet and bake for 11-12 minutes until turkey is cooked through. |
4. | Serve hot with peanut dipping sauce. |
