I’m kinda known as the breakfast queen.
I’m one of those people who is hungry the second she wakes up. To this day it boggles my mind that some people skip breakfast. Why on earth would you choose to miss out on all the eggs and oatmeal and pancakes? And if you say it’s because you sleep in, then we can no longer be friends.
It’s the one meal where it’s the norm to mix a sweet dish with a savoury one- scrambled eggs paired with some bacon, pancakes, and a drizzle of REAL maple syrup? Can life really get any better?!
Now come summer time, I get it. I get not wanting to turn on that stove or oven first thing in the morning. I get not wanting to sit down to a bowl of steaming hot oats when it’s scorching hot out. (can we celebrate the fact that we’ve FINALLY made it to the start of the summer months?!) But what is a breakfast obsessed girl to do?
No need to panic – I have the solution. I’ve rounded up five of our most popular and most delicious recipes that are suitable to devour, even in the hottest of summer days. So let’s dig in, shall we?
Carrot Cake Baked Oatmeal
Wait, what?! She’s starting off the warm weather breakfast round up with a BAKED oatmeal? That’s right friends. Let me explain. While baked oatmeal is delicious warm, I think it is just as delicious cold. Especially this version – when topped with a dollop of yogurt, it’s your perfect warm weather morning meal. And it can be made ahead of time or the night before so it’s chilled to perfection and ready when you are.

Double Maple Overnight Oatmeal
I’m a HUGE fan of overnight oatmeal. It’s definitely my go-to weekday breakfast. It can be assembled the night before so it’s ready and waiting for you to devour in the morning. This version has a double dose of maple flavour and is absolutely divine. But you could change up the flavour to your heart’s desire – peanut butter and banana is also quite tasty.

Smoothies
Now I’m not normally one to drink my food – I need to chew to feel satisfied. But in the summer, especially when you’re in a rush, a jam packed smoothie can hit the spot. These variations are loaded with yogurt, peanut butter, and tons and TONS of fruit so they will keep you full longer than a mere ten minutes, which is usually what happens to me after a drinkable brekkie.

Yogurt and Granola Parfait
This one is always a crowd pleaser. Who can resist a batch of homemade granola? Not I. When layered with yogurt and fresh fruit – perfect warm weather breakfast right there.

The Breakfast Sandwich
These sammies are just as good warm as they are cold. Now you do have to fry up your egg, or you can use our microwave egg hack and simply give it a little whisk in a small bowl brushed with some oil and microwave for just a minute. And done! No heating up your kitchen required. Or just suck it up for a couple minutes and you have warm weather breakfast perfection at your finger tips.
